What is Corian®

DuPont is the exclusive owner of DuPont™ Corian® logo and of DuPont™ Corian® registered trademark.

DuPont™ Corian® is a solid, non-porous, homogeneous surfacing material composed of ⅓ acrylic resin (also known as PolyMethyl MethAcrylate or PMMA) and ⅔ natural minerals. The main mineral is Aluminium TriHydrate (ATH) derived from bauxite, an ore from which aluminium is produced. Since its introduction in 1967,

DuPont™ Corian® has proved itself to be a remarkably durable material that is easy to live with. It cannot delaminate and stands up well to daily use. It resists most of the impacts, nicks and cuts that occur in heavy traffic areas. Corian® has been tested for its mechanical, thermal, electrical and other surface properties.

Corian® is a low cost maintenance material that is used in worktops and decoration surfaces, with a wide variety of applications, from kitchen and bathroom benches, to offices and reception desks, interior masonry overlays and building facades, Corian® is limited only by human creativity.
